Ben Kiang was a native of Yantai,Shandong,China. He moved to Hong Kong in his childhood with his parents and graduated from Hong Kong Chinese University. He has lived in the United States for many years and now lives in Qingdao,China.

祖籍中国山东烟台，自小随父母移居香港，毕业于香港中文大学。曾居住美国多年，现定居山东青岛。

树叶如是说

A Leaf Said

当一块树叶要离开的时候
即使上帝也没法让他留下
	
我问那树叶
什么会是你的牵挂？
你有什么放不下？

树叶如是说，
我要看见我年幼的子树叶
长得那么翠绿
我要看见我年幼的子树叶
生活得那样美好
我就会安心的离去

At the time when a leaf has to leave   
Even God can not make him to stay	

I ask the leaf						
What would it be your solicitude?
What can you not leave behind?	
	
Leaf says,						
I want to see my younger leaves		
To grow as green				
I want to see my younger leaves		
To live as fine						
Then I can go with ease of my mind
