Mikki Mendelsohn is a practicing Rabbi, college teacher, and recovering attorney. She has been published in all the local journals, many online magazines and Jewish sites. She has published a book of poetry called Chasing Moonbeams.

密琪-孟德尔松是一个犹太教教士，大学教师，赔偿律师。她的作品大多发表在地方刊物及网络杂志上。她出版了一本书名叫《追赶月光》的诗集.

诗人非马出版有十四本诗集 （除《秋窗 》是英文外，其它都是中文） 以及几本翻译，包括双语诗选《让盛宴开始──我喜爱的英文诗》。他还编选出版了几本台湾及中国现代诗选。他是前任伊利诺州诗人协会的会长，现居芝加哥。

William Marr (Fei Ma) is the author of fourteen books of poetry (all in his native Chinese language except Autumn Window which is in English) and several books of translations, including the bilingual anthology Let the Feast Begin—My Favorite English Poems.  He has also edited and published several anthologies of contemporary Taiwanese and Chinese poetry.  A longtime resident of Chicago, he served from 1993 to 1995 as the president of the Illinois State Poetry Society.

快板

Gloomy days bring gloomy thoughts
dreary danger-filled, anxiety-ridden
moments in time, waiting for storms
as if thunder could shake the heavens
and change the earth forever.

Nature has its own agenda,
but it's not mine.
I'm impotent, impatient and naive
to think I hold power.

So I brood, lost in the tangle
of written words, struggle
with consonants, stanzas,
form, meter and dissonance
like music on my ipod-- so unlike
the monotonous sounds emitted
'round the clock from CNN

'til the music rushes forth like
a symphony with the strings
in the lead, the mournful sound
of the cello takes a solo
and the ensemble responds
fortissimo—then I will know
I have written a poem
and the sun shines again in my life.
			

阴郁的日子带来阴郁的思想
时间里充满危险饱含焦虑的
时刻，等待暴风雨
有如响雷能撼动天空
永远改变大地。

大自然有它自己的日程表，
但那不是我的。
我无能、急躁、天真地
以为我拥有权力。

我因此郁闷，在文字的纠缠中
迷失，在子音、诗节、
形式、音步及不协和音里挣扎，

从早到晚发自CNN
那些单调的声音

直到音乐喷涌如交响乐
弦乐器带头
大提琴的哀调独奏
全体以最强音响应—
那时我便知道
我写成了一首诗
而太阳再度在我的生命中辉耀。
