Dream

Hearing the sound of your shoes From a near Distance, clapping An echo at the pillow Sticks to Its side The watchman's drum Awakens a slumbering dream Suspending it high But only to the windowsill Up up above The lowest hanging Star Don't let it return to the shore Of this bankless shore

Piano

A girl dips her ten-fingered oars Gurgling the surface Of the river piano Piano, oh piano You are the Yangtze Keys black as night Keys bright as day China, oh China I want to row toward you The girl raises her whip of ten fingers And gallops forward Across the piano's plain Piano, oh piano. You are the Great Wall Keys black as ramparts Keys bright as battlements China, oh China I want to gallop towards you.
