Pacers Few

I start to rush about in July Carriages and horses are ready, food is enough I start on a horse from the forest in my hometown The pacer's tracks are on the road They go away from the horses' hooves My ghost begins to move restlessly I don't want to be alone But it seems I always must I can always see the proud thin body of the pacer It comes from the dark that can't be removed It comes from the old dusty way Poverty and flourishing, cross the road Dissapointment and freedom, cross the road On those vast and hazy days They walk neither too slowly nor too fast Calm clear lasting That's just the freedom I want The pacer's thin body Carrying a great legend Walking with pride Until one day The spirit rots into the soil And becomes richer And more often Some pacers receive horses With speed that can’t be denied But they make their legend die out
