Ten O’clock in the Morning |

A small patch of blue, divided into smaller patches by barbed wires
Division upon division, a small patch of blue can’t be destroyed
It is part of the larger blue, because of the view one pane gives
It is treated as all that one may count on
Walk out of this door, and you will see an expanse of blue, all of it
But one cannot receive all that blue
A small strip of blue lies under a basket of flowers, a hand
Crosses the street laying it near my door, a blue hand

Engraving Meaning |

I engraved meaning on a tree
The tree grew, and meaning grew too
Throwing the knife in the forest
I was busy about something else and forgot the tree
I headed to the city, scarcely ever going to the woods
Life became easier after I had engraved meaning
Traveling around I somehow forgot meaning too
It was left in a safe place
Those who passed the forest said, there was a tree
So smooth, without a single leaf
