Where the Spring Comes and Goes

Again the full moon rises, The paradise bird struts, And sorts out her homeland with a beak stained in blood. Fish in swarms set out for a foreign land, preparing for their death, Echoing with the alarm clock over the geomagnetic poles. Flowing colors, wind and water, Calamus peels open their bleary eyes. On the river bank yonder, a man sings, naked and disheveled. Passed on is a secret message between an ursula butterfly and the heather, And they clang like metals. Pollen bursts and grass rolls. They need only a whistle to appear from obscurity, And the overthrowing of a stone to stand erect.
