An Apple

I pick up an apple a round apple a green and shiny apple It is like a planet in the control of my hands If I let go of it and let it fall it will smash into pieces If I take a bite of it it will be incomplete The world under God is so vulnerable If I put it on the table it will slowly turn red and exude a fragrance If I place it in my memory it will occupy a part of my heart and keep its red smile If I were God I would plant such apples in the soil and cover the earth with fruit If one day it fell down from old age I would set up a tombstone carved with the following words Earth is but an Apple An apple's life is so fragile To live in this world is to live like an apple
