I Like To Collect Antiques

I like to collect antiques: such as Neck Broken bottles, Old hats, dilapidated pottery full of cracks On them, there wrapped around is the body of a dragon, its broken legs, its head Also ripped off by force. These remains of damaged goods, they speak to me At night, retelling their Lives, regrets, and all the past craziness with joy. No doubt they had been Loved, hugged, or held up by Someone's hand, even Kissed by the lips of wine. But now they are abandoned in the wild, On bottom of rivers, or Some unknown city streets. Until I pick them up, And bring them home, place them On a shelf in the middle of the room. They ask for nothing, they dream with me. And there, they relive A sweet memory, and there too, They help me see A broken self.
