In Between

As how life teaches us, We are always in between. We have never actually started our journey, Nor will we ever arrive. No matter it's in the deepest night, or the morning Before the sun rises. Life has a way to dangle us In the mid air, and we know One small negligence will result In a fatal drop, the kind that will shatter our bones To a thousand unrepairable pieces. And yet, we try to imagine a soft landing Somewhere, in the mountain or By the sea, smooth sailing that gets us to A peaceful island, sounds of the wind Calms us. But we are in between Even when we temporarily arrive To the top of a castle. We travel, willout a destiny. All we can hope for is in between the flight, There is a better view to accompany us, And a gentle smile near our eyes.
