Yu Xiang

宇向,生于七十年代。“70后”重要诗人。现居山东济南。参与中国当代艺术、地下音乐、先锋诗歌等活动多年之后,2000年左右开始专心写作,并于2002年获得第十一届“柔刚诗歌奖”。

Yu Xiang, born in 1970s, is one of the key figures among the Post-70s poets, currently living in Jinan, Shandong, China. He was awarded the 11th Rou Gang Poetry Prize in 2002.

Jinghua Fan

生于中国江苏,1987年毕业于北京师范大学,后任教于南京东南大学十余年,写诗、译诗、研究诗歌,目前在新加坡国立大学,为博士候选人。

Native to Jiangsu, PRC, upon graduation from Beijing Normal University in 1987, taught in Southeast University Nanjing for a dozen of years.  He writes, translates and currently is studying poetry in National University of Singapore.

半首诗

Half-Poems

时不时的,我写半首诗 我从来不打算把它们写完 一首诗 不能带我去死 也不能让我以此为生 我写它干什么 一首诗 会被认识的或不相干的人拿走 被爱你的或你厌倦的人拿走 半首诗是留给自己的

Every so often I write half-poems. I never intended to finish them. A finished poem can neither bring on a death nor bring in a life— why do I still write? A finished poem might be taken away by people acquainted or unacquainted, snatched away by people who might love you or whom you are sick of. Half-poems are kept for yourself.
