Mark Clement

Mark Clement was born in Winnipeg and raised in various towns in Ontario. He currently resides in Toronto where he lives a clandestine life as a poet and work as a technocrat. Writing poetry has been a compulsion since his teenage years and Mark is looking forward to retirement from his busy life in industry and having more time to pursue that elusive perfect poem.

The Moth

He fluttered frantically as if chained By an invisible thread to the glow Of my backyard evening light. I fluttered with him, caught In my body, chained to my internal Light, bound by skin and flesh. We are the same, the moth and I, Always driven Towards the burning light.
