出生于中国湖南。90年代移民美国，毕业于加州州立大学电脑系。曾有诗歌、散文发表于报刊。现居加州洛杉矶。

Ying Yun was born in Hunan, China. She immigrated to USA in 1990s and graduated from California State University. She has published some poems and essays on newspapers. She lives in Los Angeles, California.

风乍起

Sudden Wind

风乍起——
黄昏中一堵透明的墙
塌裂
你失去
赖以立足的土地
得到寻觅已久的自由
从此——再也——没有
可以容纳你的
空——气
			

Sudden wind—
A transparent wall collapses
In the dusk
You lose the ground
To stand on
And ascend to the freedom
You’ve been seeking  
All the time: now
No air 
can hold you 
Up
			

外祖母

Grandmother

夜深
她躺在床上
习惯性地伸出手
去摸索
床另一边熟悉的
呼吸

那里
一片冰冷

她的手
抚摸着那片
冰冷
抚摸着他新近的
离去
抚摸着时间
在这个漫长春夜里的
归途

她默念着：
“主啊，我们
将在你面前再次
相遇”
			

In the depth of night
She is lying on her bed
Habitually 
Extending her hand
To touch 
A familiar breath
At the other side 
Of her bed

There.
Icy cold.

Her hand
Strokes that cold
Strokes what’s left behind
Strokes the returning path
Of time
In an endless spring night

She prays:
Lord, let us meet again
In front of 
You
